Dear Mr. Ring,
Almost one year has gone by since Dad, Dan Bouchie, was admitted to Bear Hill Nursing Center. Finally he has adjusted to his new home and if it wasn’t for your kindness after his rough start he would be in another facility.
Thank you for understanding how difficult it was for dad in the beginning… I’m pleased that his anxiety is under control… he probably needed meds for years and it took being at Bear Hill for this problem to be corrected.
I would also like to mention how helpful Janice, Cassie, Carolyn and Alyssa have been to Charlie, Dad and to me. I know there are other employees but I’m not familiar with their names at this time.
It takes special people to work in a nursing home and I especially commend Carolyn for being a professional when she was confronted by an angry bingo player one day.
From my observation, Bear Hill is a pleasant environment for the residents. They are treated like kings and queens by staff… so thanks to you and your wonderful employees. I’m happy that dad is well taken care of in his new home.
May your Christmas be peaceful and joyous,
Angela Doucot
To the Staff of Bear Hill,
I am not sure that I have the words to adequately express my sincere appreciation to everyone at Bear Hill for the wonderful and loving care given to my mother, Bertha Hill. She was with you for over nine years and the entire staff always showed professionalism along with compassion, humor, and understanding of the varied feelings we had over those many years. There was always someone to guide me through the maze of paperwork and explain the differing degrees of her condition, as well as helping us with the range of emotions that go along with having a loved one in a long-term terminal condition.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Beverly Kirby
To all the special people at Bear Hill from the Business Office to Activities, and the Nurses and helpers,
I can’t express my family’s gratitude enough. My mom loved it here. It was the next best thing to home. It is so hard for a family to put loved ones into a nursing facility, but I knew this was a really good one. I made the right choice.
Thank you for everything.

Unit D
Dear Peg & Linda,
This note is to express my gratitude for all that you and your wonderful staff on D UNIT did for my mother during her stay here.
From day one you and your staff couldn’t have been any nicer. Upon admission that first night my mother started to get disoriented and Laurie called me at home to speak with my mother to reassure her things were okay. How wonderfully reassuring for me also to know how much someone cared. The family meeting shortly after her admission filled me with hope that through your obviously capable guidance my mother was going to get better under your care after months of anxiety over her uncontrolled pain issues. I cannot tell you enough how much more lighthearted I was after leaving that meeting, thank you Linda.
There are so many wonderful nurses on your staff here. They are all so professional, knowledgeable, caring, helpful--just so kind. Thanks so much to each one of them!! I would be remiss if I did not mention the support staff. They also were so kind and helpful. Things do get noticed. Little things like making sure the johnnie was closed and being especially nice even when a patient is a little grumpy for whatever reason on a given day. Patience really is a virtue that is practiced there. I think your hiring criteria must have been ONLY THE BEST for D UNIT and you certainly did that!!!
Thank you so much from a grateful daughter
Sincerely,
MARIE ADINOLFI
